Privacy policy

VideoMachine collects only what the product needs to function:

• Account details — your name, email address, and whether that address has been verified.
• What you create — the slide text you write, the URLs you submit for an SEO audit, and the videos rendered from them.
• Billing state — your credit balance and a record of which orders granted credits. Card details never reach our servers; see below.
• Operational logs — ordinary server and render logs, which can include your email address and the URLs you audited.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal data.

Running this service means handing parts of your data to infrastructure providers. Each one sees only what it needs:

• Polar — payment processor and merchant of record. Polar handles checkout and holds your payment details; we receive an order record and a customer identifier, never a card number.
• Railway — application hosting, the Postgres database, and the S3-compatible bucket that stores rendered videos.
• Trigger.dev — runs the background jobs that render your videos and, for an SEO audit, fetches the URL you submitted.
• Resend — sends account and billing email. It sees your email address and the message.

Finished videos live in a bucket configured for public read access, which is what lets a video play and be shared. Anyone holding the URL can view that video. Treat a video URL as public, and do not put anything in a video you would not want shared.

Account data is kept while the account exists. Deleting a video removes it from your gallery and deletes the stored video file. Records of credit grants and refunds are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, because they are what prove which orders were honoured.

Backups and logs age out on their own schedule, so deletion is not always instantaneous everywhere.

You can delete individual videos from the app at any time. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email us and we will action it. Deleting the account cascades to your videos, renders, and sessions.

Unspent credits are forfeited on account deletion; see the refund policy.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting the updated policy.
