Terms of service

The agreement between you and VideoMachine.

The service

VideoMachine turns text and website audits into short videos. Using the service means agreeing to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials to yourself.

Credits are a prepaid licence, not money

A credit buys one video render. Credits are a limited licence to use the rendering service — they are not currency, not a stored-value instrument, and not transferable or redeemable for cash.

  • New accounts receive 3 free credits.
  • A credit is spent when a render is started, and returned automatically if that render fails.
  • Credits do not expire while your account is open, and are forfeited if you delete your account.
  • We may change package prices at any time; a price change never affects credits you already hold.

Purchases are governed by the refund policy.

Acceptable use of the audit tool

The SEO audit fetches the URL you give it, the way a browser or a search-engine crawler would. It requests one page per audit. By submitting a URL you confirm that:

  • you own the site, or you are otherwise permitted to analyse it;
  • the URL is publicly reachable and not behind a login, paywall, or any access control;
  • you are not using the tool to probe, enumerate, or load-test a site you do not control.

We may block URLs, rate-limit accounts, or suspend access if the tool is being used against sites in a way that looks like scanning rather than auditing.

Your content

You keep ownership of the text you write and the videos you generate. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, process it, and serve your videos back to you and to anyone you share a link with.

You are responsible for what you put into a video. Do not upload or generate content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have the right to use.

No guarantee of results

The SEO audit runs a fixed set of technical checks — title tag, meta description, headings, image alt text, HTTPS, canonical URL, social tags, mobile viewport, and load time — and reports what it found. It is a diagnostic, not advice, and it does not promise any search ranking, traffic, or business outcome. Search engines are third parties whose behaviour we do not control.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and rendering depends on third-party infrastructure that can fail. Where a render fails, your credit is returned; that is the remedy for a failed render.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that is being used to abuse the audit tool, or that is being used to farm free credits through repeated sign-ups.

Where we terminate an account for a breach, unspent credits are forfeited. Where we terminate for any other reason, we will refund unspent purchased credits.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page reflects the last substantive change. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
